The Helix antenna is known among radio enthusiasts for its efficiency, low VSWR over a wide bandwidth, perfect circular polarization and easy installation in any mirror. It is one of the most popular antennas for use over QO-100
DX Patrol has developed this new Helix, which works especially for small offset dishes with exceptional results, even with small dishes with a diameter of 40 cm a good signal is still possible.
This type of Helix is a perfect feed system for those who cannot install a large bowl on the roof, RV, camping, apartments, field, emergencies, etc. But it is also ideal for 90cm mirrors.
The Helix is 3D printed from a robust PETG material that is water, UV and RF resistant. The PETG is well suited for RF at 2.4 and 10 GHz. The total attenuation is less than 1dB at 10GHz and is negligible at 2.4GHz.
The installation is very easy, various LNBs fit perfectly. However, we strongly recommend using the DX Patrol LNB, as the VSWR is set to 1:1 for this. When using other LNBs, the VSWR may need to be readjusted.
The total length of the helix is 16cm, and the weight with LNB is about 0.3kg.
This Helix is suitable for narrowband and DATV use on QO-100.
